N.C.C
At present one junior wing consisting 100 cadets and a senior wing with 53 cadets are functioning in our school. These cadets take part in various camps such as Annual Training, Basic Leader Ship, National Integration, Trekking, T al Sainik Camp And Republic Camp.
Cadets who participate in National Level Camps are given 10% grace marks in SSLC examination. A few of our cadets have won Chief Minister’s scholarship, Sahara scholarship etc. Best cadets awards have also been won by them. Right now one junior and three senior cadets are participating in the R.D selection camp conducted at Pandalam. All the cadets of II nd year are sitting for the ‘A’ certificate examination. With pardonable pride we may say that our Troop is a dedicated and disciplined one.

Guiding
Sir Baden Powel started guiding with the avowed aim of training young children to maintain a very high level of moral, mental and physical standard. Scouting was introduced in India in 1909.
The scheme of guiding inculcates guides a spirit of service mentality, faith of god, Patriotism, love of nature and such other high values through carefully arranged training schedules. In our school the first batch of guides was registered in 1964 and at present there are five actively functioning groups. They have keenly participated at national level activities and some of our guides have secured State Awards and Presidents Awards.

Band
Band is comprising mainly of wind and percussion instruments giving emphasis to harmonious blending of rhythm with melody. It is a traditional art form, which can embellish any festivity.
A Band set is consisting of 20 performers. To achieve perfection the artists will have to undergo rigorous practice.
Our school has an excellent Band Set, which is renowned in Kottayam District. We have won many prizes at state level competitions every year. In last State School Youth Festival our Band set won second place and Rs. 800/- prize money. All members of the Band who get A+ will be given 30 grace marks in the SSLC examination. Under the able guidance and supervision of Band fervently practice from morning till evening on days set apart for practice. |

Red Cross

Red Cross is an organization with a specific aim of creating consciousness in the growing generation of school children regarding Health service and international amity
In our school there are fifty students drawn from High school and UP sections, who are members of the red cross Society.Mjority of them appear in the district level examination and secure relevant certificates. Last year the first rank holder from kottayam taluk was our student Miss. Sharon Susan Paul, (Standard IX).The society is rendering commendable service by actively participating in cleaning the school premises |
